About Baillieswells
Stone Cottage, Baillieswells, Nr Aberdeen

The Origin of Baillieswells

Baillieswells lies some 6 miles west of the City of Aberdeen in Scotland.
The actual wells are in a field directly in front of Stone Cottage the original home of the Baillieswells Border Terriers.
Stone Cottage was an early twentieth century building, built of granite with eighteen inch thick granite walls and a slate roof. It had originally been the dairy and pigsty of a large estate. The garden was over an acre in area and included a dry stone dyke over which the Borders had great fun in scrambling.
